Contest categories. See the State Record Book categories on the Texas 4-H website for an official list at https://texas4-h.tamu.edu/wp-content/uploads/Recordbook-Categories.pdf.

Submitting Record Books. Due to COVID-19 concerns over books being passed from one judge to another, please follow these requirements:

*CEAs will scan and email the Record Book to Denita Young as a PDF by Friday, July 3, 2020. Please be sure all pages have been uploaded, because we will have no way of knowing if all pages are accounted for in the PDF.

*Each Record Book must have a completed and signed check sheet as the front cover sheet. Books without a completed form cannot be accepted.

*We will NOT use Record Book covers this year.

Judging Process.

*Each book will be judged by two (2) agents, who will be at tables with appropriate social distancing.

*Each judge will receive their own disposable copy of the book. Comments will be made on the score sheets and the paper copies of the books will be destroyed by the District Specialist.

*Agents may be required to judge more than one category, so ALL agents will stay until the judging process is complete.

Awards. 1st through 5th place awards will be given.

State Record Book Qualifiers.

*Senior age division youth placing 1st place in each category will advance to the State Record Book Judging Contest (additional information will be sent on this process).

*Practice social distancing during the judging, breaks, and lunch.
