The District IV 4-H Officer Boot Camp provides 4-H youth the opportunity to learn about multiple officer roles, ice breakers, and recreational games which they can use back at their club or county meetings. In addition, youth will also participate in hands-on leadership training. Many of the activities are led by the District IV 4-H Council Officers during the event.

Registration. Each participating member and volunteer is required to register on 4-H Connect and pay the $15 registration fee. Registration on 4-H Connect will open on July 12 and close on midnight July 31. This fee includes facility usage, lunch, and supplies.
Participation. Participants must be active 4-H members and volunteers enrolled in a Texas 4-H and Youth Development county program in District IV.
Eligibility. 4-H Members who were in 3rd grade or higher during the 2018-19 year are eligible to attend. 4-H Volunteers who are enrolled in Texas 4-H Connect.
Age. Age divisions are determined by a participant’s grade as of September 1 of the current 4-H year. Age divisions for this contest are:
Participants with disabilities. Participants who require auxiliary aids or special accommodations must contact the District Extension Office at least 2 weeks before the competition to request such needs.
Adults: Adult volunteers also have the opportunity to gain insight on upcoming changes in the 4-H program, gain knowledge on 4-H policies, and have a chance to share successes and challenges they face. Note: Adults MUST be registered on Texas 4-H Connect to attend this workshop, as they are required to register through 4-H Connect just like the members.
