CONTEST INFORMATION
Share the Fun will be split into two groups. Share the Fun 1, which will take place on Friday, May 3 will consist of Celebrate 4-H, Musical/Instrumental, and Solo/Band categories. Share the Fun 2 will take place on May 4 and will consist of Poetry/Prose, Vocal, Dramedy, and Choreographed Routines.

Registration. Each participating member is required to register on 4-H Connect and pay the district $10.00 per contest registration fee. Registration will begin on March 12 and close at midnight April 12, 2019.

Participation. Participants must be active 4-H members enrolled in a Texas 4-H and Youth Development county program in District IV and be eligible to compete according to UIL rules. The top 2 senior entries in each category will advance to state.
Age. Age divisions are determined by a participant’s grade as of September 1 of the current 4-H year. Age divisions for this contest are:
Junior | grades 3, 4, 5 | |
Intermediate | grades 6, 7, 8 | |
Senior | grades, 9, 10, 11, 12 |
Entries per county. Each county may enter an unlimited number of teams/individuals per age division listed above.
Members per team. 1 – 9 participants of the same age division. (Juniors may join an Intermediate team) Senior entries are comprised of Senior-aged youth only.
Contest categories.
Awards. 2nd -5th place will receive ribbons and 1st place will receive a trophy. The 1st and 2nd placed senior individuals/teams in each category will qualify for state.
Participants with disabilities. Any competitor who requires auxiliary aids or special accommodations must contact the District Extension Office, or note when registering on 4-H Connect, at least 2 weeks before the competition to request such needs.

Equipment at District. Participants are required to bring their own A/V equipment needed for the presentation. An electric piano with full-sized keyboard and microphones (up to 3) will be available.
Judges. Volunteers must be submitted and confirmed from each county to serve as judges for these contests. Please complete and submit the “Confirmed Judges List” to the district office by April 12, 2019 or add information to an existing Connect registration prior to confirming.
